It's been years since I've posted on this site but today I felt that it's appropriate for an update. It's been 4 years as of September and I'm doing great. I have not had any complications from surgery and I can eat just about anything a normal person can...just less! Textures of meat is still something that I have to be mindful of. Meats that have been reheated or sitting under a light are dry and doesn't digest well. I usually have to look at food at restaurants before I eat it unless they are cooked fresh. I also don't eat leftovers. If food has been cooked, refrigerated and reheated the texture of meat changes. Things like chili, soups or moist foods are ok reheated.
Other normal functions include some sweets and limited alcohol (socially).
My current weight is 172 and I wear pants sized 8 and 10. I have filled out a lot from the stage that I call my "crackhead weight". That's where you reach your lowest weight and look kinda sick. Now I look average and no health problems. I must admit that I do not take my vitamin supplements as I should but I've not encountered any issues. I lost a little bit of hair during the earlier years but that's it.
Now approaching age 39, I am still in the pursuit of happiness. I find myself struggling with depression from my hormonal changes due to hysterectomy and my unresolved daddy issues. I'm hoping that this year will be much better than last year. I plan to finally finish my bachelors degree and subsequently increase my income with either a promotion or another job. I'd like to own a house one day and have the peace of mind that comes with financial stability.
If you're a person of faith, please pray for me...I need it!
